ARKANSAS PRISON SYSTEM

CMA is more than just a ministry to those who ride the highways on two wheels. Those incarcerated need to hear the gospel message. A message that God loves them regardless of how messed up their lives may be. They need also to know that there are those on the "outside", in the "free world", who love and care for them. The Prison Ministry Team provides the training for those who recognize the words of Jesus, "I was in prison and you visited me".

In 1999, CMA conducted services inside a number of prisons in the Arkansas Department of Corrections System. In two of those units, the Pine Bluff Unit, and the Cummins Unit at Grady Arkansas, CMA was allowed to bring motorcycles into the compound so that the residents could actually touch the motorcycles. In both units, a bike rodeo was used as one of the tools to draw the population to the services. The year 2000 was a busy year for prison ministry. Whether you go in with a CMA group, From Crime to Christ, or one of the other Prison Ministry groups, you will be blessed more than you can imagine.

If you feel a need to break out of your comfort zone, and the security of your home church, you might want to consider this ministry. These folks are not a "captive" audience. They have the free will to attend or not attend the services. They have the right to listen to the Gospel message, or to turn away. But those who have heard the message, accepted by faith the Salvation offered through trust in the Redemptive work of Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit, have found that even within the "walls", God is alive and well.
